Members and Associate Members of the Society are eligible for a range of benefits. Principal among them is the ability to have a direct say in how the Society is managed and to take responsibility for developing its interests in an area that might be of particular interest to you and your employer or partners. Geography is no boundary as we seek out new members.
Membership also brings significant discounts on the fees payable for courses, conferences, webinars and publications. For example, the registration fee for the Society's Annual Conference is reduced by more than 30% and webinars, which otherwise attract a fee, are entirely free. All we ask is that you make a reservation beforehand so we know to expect your attendance.
For those who wish to develop their careers in a more formal way, the Society offers a Certificate Course in Facilities Management by distance learning. The Certificate is recognised by The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) as an approved qualification for entry to the Associate class of membership. Applicants for the Certificate Course should have a minimum of five years' experience in facilities management and have achieved a position that carries with it some managerial duties and responsibilities.
