There are various ways in which you can become involved in the activities of the Society. First, we need to gather together like-minded individuals – those who share a passion for excellence in education, research and practice – to build a successful Society that can make a real difference. If you are actively engaged in any of these fields then membership of the Society could be for you.
Second, we need to hear from individuals and organisations who can offer support for the Society’s activities. Support can take various forms. As our activities expand, we shall need space to grow and places to hold meetings, lectures and conferences.
There are three membership grades: Fellow, Associate and Corporate. Fellows are Members of the Society under the terms and definitions of the Companies Acts and are subject to election by the Council. Associate and Corporate membership for the purpose of engaging in the Society’s activities is available to those whose professional or public life is connected with the the Society’s main objects. Individuals who wish to be considered for any grade of membership of the Society are requested to contact the Secretary using the Contact Us form in this website, stating the nature of your enquiry.
When contacted, you will be asked to provide details of your education and qualifications along with a brief summary of your experience in an academic and/or professional or public capacity. Your details will then be laid before the Council at its next meeting for due consideration. The Society reserves the right not to grant membership to an individual but will in such cases give the reason.
